About Me

My name is Jaiansh and I study in class 4 at Delhi Public School, RK Puram. My love for Science and Technology started with DIY toys like Smartivity and Mechanix where I made many models from fork lift to mechanical hand, automated pulleys, ferris wheel etc.

I then enrolled in a robotics course with Rancho Labs and that has exposed me to a completely different world of robotics, science and automation. I have completed two levels and currently enrolled in the advanced level.

My Rancho Experience

Being part of Rancho Labs has been a transformative experience. It’s allowed me to immerse myself in the dynamic fields of robotics and automation, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. The practical knowledge I’ve gained here has equipped me with a solid foundation in applying technology to real-world scenarios.

My Projects

Password Protected Safe – when I was young, I had a piggy bank which had a code to open it. So I was very excited to make this project where I can keep my secret things and my parents will not be able to see. I used microbit coding and servo motor to do this.

Line Following Car – it is a car that follows a black line or a non reflective line and moves above the line. I used microbit expansion, microbit coding, IR sensor and motor driver for this project.

Home Automation Project. As part of the innovation project at the end of my level2 with Rancho Labs, I created a home automation project The home had features like automatic day and night light, automatic door opening, earthquake alarm and solar panel powered fan. I used IR sensor, servo motor and microbit coding for this.

When Robotics meets Music

I also have a passion for music and have been learning piano for the last 3 years from Theme Music Institute. I am currently in grade2 of the LCME grade exam structure for Piano. Below are some projects on how I have combined my passion for robotics and music to create something beautiful.

On our 78th independence day this year, I crafted the melody of our Indian National Anthem through coding. This was my tribute to the nation and celebrating the power of innovation by music.

As part of the Robotics curriculum, I made a paper piano which can play music. I used a microbit and digital pins to create different notes on the piano.

Competition’s

MELANGE 2023

I participated in MELANGE 2023 – Connextions Light Level Indicator competition organization by Seth Anadram Jaipuria School in collaboration with Rancho Labs. I created a light level indicator using microbit and coding. I got the third prize in this competition.

DIWALI competition 2023

Rancho Labs did a competition on the occasion of Diwali in 2023 and I made a clap lamp that can be switched on and off with a sound. I won the first prize in this competition.

ROBO DUSSHERA 2024

In 2024, during Dussehra, Rancho Labs did a Robo-Dussehra competition and I participated in it by making a toy Ravan which lits up when you go near it. I used IR sensor and microbit programming for this
